NFEC vs ENPD Softball Game

Norriton Fire Engine Company continues its unbeaten streak against the East Norriton Township Police team in the 3rd annual softball game.   After rescheduling due to rain, the game was played on November 2nd at the township field.

We congratulate both teams for playing a good game.  We also thank all of you that came out to cheer the teams on.   This is exemplifies the sportsmanship and the respect that the fire company and police department have for each other.   Although we were on separate teams, we all played the game together and had a lot of fun.

National Fire Academy Superintendent

Comes to Montgomery County

On July 10, 2007, Denis Onieal, the Superintendent of the National Fire Academy came to the Montgomery County Fire Academy.  The purpose of the trip was to view the new immersion training room that the academy was preparing, and also to meet on another matter in Chester County.  The fire academy is located in neighboring Plymouth Township and serves as a training center for fire fighters and other emergency responders in Montgomery county and surrounding counties.

Mike Matusheski and George Bartow demonstrated the systems and gave an overview of the program to Mr. Onieal.  Mike is one of our members, as well as a consultant on the project.
